There’s always one in every family.

The one who pulls everyone else together.

The one who tackles and tickles.

The one who sets others at ease.

And the one who reminds others why their family is so wonderful.

Cheyenn (and Josh!!), you guys are wonderful year after year. I love seeing your kiddos grow up, and I’m so grateful you choose me. THANK YOU.

When you photograph them from tiny infants to big tall adolescents, somewhere along the way they get stuck as little kids in your mind.

And you forget that they’re taller than you now.

Or that in a few years they’ll be driving themselves around.

And then you get all weepy and sad… but then you remember.

You didn’t even raise these kids. But you’re still related. And they’re still your family. And you’ll fight ANYONE for them ANY day.

So look out, world. These kids are coming. (But with their auntie not far behind…)
