(Like trying to get her to smile.... it took forever! But I came out victorious...)

And all the love.

My favorite part...

...Is when they take the initiative.

They start to realize that it's about them...

And they stop acting... and become....

Them.

All the cuteness.

All the shyness..

All the adventure.

All the creativity.

All the subtlety.

All the grins.

Here he's newborn.

Sometimes I get nervous before I shoot.

"What if he doesn't smile for me?"

"What if the light isn't beautiful?"

"What if I can't get him to snuggle with his daddy?"

"What if he starts crying with mommy?"

"What if he doesn't like the grass?"

"What if he crawls away from me?"

"All the time...?"

My nerves usually go away....

After I see those.
