This family had me at hello. :) I was so incredibly honored to photograph their love and deep connection as a blended family. But even more than family... These beautiful people are friends. Friends that play guitar and sing and make up lyrics and hang out together. But really - there's just something so unique about a family that enjoys spending time together... And that's what makes them truly special. 

I had been able to photograph Makenzie a few weeks ago for her senior photos, and mom hired me to shoot the entire family! 

These people know how to have a good time! :) 

And I just loved how they all matched so perfectly!! 

Near the end they pulled out a guitar and showed me how awesome they are at group singing! These ladies (and gents) are talented people! :) 

So cute!! :) 

Watching them tickle each other was hilarious... :)

As some of you may have seen, last week Sunil and I traveled out to California to visit my brother and his family. It's not often we get out to California and Brad's seminary graduation seemed like the perfect occasion to plan a trip! 

While we were out there, we got to plan a photo shoot! Photographing young families is my FAVORITE, and it's even more delightful when we're related. :)

To make the family reunion even more sweet, my parents were able to fly out for the same weekend! They loved hanging out with their sweet granddaughters. :)

Even though I don't see these adorable girls very often... 

They sure warmed up to me quickly!! 

We giggled and snuggled and laughed the evening away... :)

Their home is always full of smiles and hugs - and lots of imagination! 

Michelle is one of the most tender mothers I've ever seen. 

Brad and Michelle have been married for 10 years this June - I can't believe it's been that long since their wedding! 

I loved every second of our photo shoot together..

And I can't wait to go back - someday soon!! :)
