The Smith Family

There are so many delightful parts to working with a young family for their photos.

One of my favorites is how little kids don’t really care what looks best for photos.

Stuffing leaves in dad’s shirt? Sure!

Looking for frogs in the river? Please and thank you!

Swinging with mom and dad? Of course!

Giving hugs and being thrown in the air? You bet!

It doesn’t have to be a struggle to take photos that reflect the lifestyle of a family…

But you have to follow the kids. :)

Eric and Heather, thank you SO much for letting me spend time with your sweet little family and for trusting me to capture the lovely expressions of your children! Your girls are just the sweetest, and I LOVED spending time with them! :) Can’t wait to show you the rest!

The Kemmling Family

It’s hard to fully explain what it’s like watching a family grow year after year.

Babies are born - little bundles of hope and joy and newness.

Little babies turn into kids, and kids turn into mini adults.

With sass and character all their own.

Sometimes I get asked by families if photographing lots of children at once is intimidating.

But it’s only intimidating if you’re expecting everyone to have a plastered, fake smile on their face in every photo.

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes of moments.

Especially the crazy ones.

Mike and Chris, THANK YOU so much for allowing me the privilege of photographing your family year after year. I can’t tell you how much joy I get from watching your family grow and change every time. I LOVE what we captured this year, and I hope you do too! :)
