A few weeks ago, I got to meet some new friends and their precious one year old bundle.

With my own baby’s first birthday around the corner, it reminded me of a phrase I hear pretty often:

“The days are long, but the years are short.”

As a mom of two, sometimes the days feel reeeaaaaallly long. But it’s also true that the years fly by before you even know it.

And it was so sweet to see this simple little family drink in every moment.

Happy first birthday, little Graham! You’ve been born into a world where you’re loved by SO many. I hope you grow up to make the world a better place. :)

I feel like I should just warn everyone ahead of time:

If you bring a baby to your photo shoot, there will be a ridiculous amount of baby photos.

(Any baby will do. Feel free to pick one up at the baby store on your way to the shoot.)

You may THINK I’m taking lots of great photos of all of you… But I’m really just thinking about the baby.

Because babies bring out the best in all of us.

So next time you’re feeling nervous about your upcoming photo shoot… just bring a baby. They make everything better. :)
