Falling from the sky at 130mph doesn't really sound appealing to most people. But strap a parachute to your back, along with a man that has spent over 100 accumulative hours in free fall... and I might consider it. Key word: consider.

A few weeks ago our friends Alex and Nic, and Nic's father, Ian, did it.

They fell from the sky.

At 130 mph. (My thoughts exactly, Nic!)

We showed up to watch them jump (ya know, moral support and stuff), and I brought my camera (of course).

I spent the entire time trying to decide if I was excited or terrified.

Mostly both.

Only when they were all safe on the ground could I suddenly start breathing again.

(Nicola... two words: That face. Ya killing me!)

Overall, I'm super glad they fell from the sky...

And landed safely on the ground. :)

Being a nanny is such hard job. You love, nurture, discipline and pour your heart out for kids that aren't even your own. And yet somehow, they feel like yours. My friend Emily is a nanny for two sweet boys that you should probably recognize by now. :) In the past year, I've gotten to know them really well - most weeks, she takes them on adventures downtown Kansas City, and always invites me along for the ride. To celebrate her last week with them before they move away, we decided a photo shoot would be a must.

It rained all morning. Which meant mud. And the boys were both exhausted. Which meant tears. But we decided real photos are the best - so we went with it. I'm in love with the results.
