Marriage is beautiful.  

And there's nothing better than seeing two of your friends get engaged! :)

Isaiah messaged me on Sunday and casually asked if I'd be willing to take pictures right after they got engaged as a surprise for Jess.

I responded... not so casually... OF COURSE!!

His plan was simple: They already had plans for dinner at Buca di Beppo on the Plaza, so Isaiah thought it would be the perfect opportunity. After dinner, he led her to the bench where he'd first declared his love, got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. SO sweet! :)

We wandered back to the bench for pictures and they managed to reenact it for me... :)

Jess kept asking if she could stand on Isaiah's left side so she could admire her ring constantly.

Isaiah was so relieved it was over... and happily held his fiance close. :)

Jess's ring is exquisite and is exactly what she dreamed of. She told me so herself. :)

After just a few minutes of pictures, Sunil and I gave them hugs and sent them on their way.

Jess and Isaiah, I'm SO thrilled for you guys and I can't wait to see what God is going to do in the next year - congrats!! :)

These two girls are adorable...  

And happen to be two of my favorite little girls on the planet.

But when my husband and I visit...

Guess who's their favorite? (The aunt that takes cute pictures of them all the time? Nope.)

That's right... They LOVE their fluffy-haired, story-telling, sesame-street-watching, beard-bearing, uncle-in-law.

I guess I've been moved to second place. Now I'm just the "Amanda, come take a picture of me in my pretty dress!" aunt.

But don't worry. I'm not jealous. Not even a little bit.

Because he happens to be my favorite too. :)
