Ryan and Kim

I usually work with people before their photo shoots to brainstorm and decide on locations, clothing choices, and whether or not they want to include any props.

It is a rare but WONDERFUL day when people decide to include their pets in the photos!

Who doesn’t love those extra puppy cuddles??

When we started Ryan and Kim’s session, it was cold and dreary with the clouds thickly overhead.

And by the time we finished… the sun wouldn’t stop showing off. :)

Ryan and Kim - I could’ve played in that gorgeous sunlight ALL DAY! Thanks so much for braving the dreary day; it paid off so well for us! Can’t wait to celebrate your wedding with you and eat all the cake and dance my face off at your wedding! :) Love you guys!

The Nelson Family

While my speciality will always be young families with little kids, occasionally I get the chance to work with an extended family.

In typical family fashion, grandma is always (and should always be) the center of attention - which is simply delightful.

But what’s amazing for me to see is how each sibling has uniquely formed their own little family.

Beginning their own traditions…

Forming their own memories…

And being them.

Erik and Tennille (and Noah, Brooklynn, Layla, Deb, Ed, Lori, Bre, Paige, and Kailee!) - you know I adore your family. Thank you so much for letting me capture your entire big extended family and for picking the loveliest spot for us to shoot!! Happy Thanksgiving!! :)
