Jennifer and Ken

I don’t really photograph weddings anymore. But when my dear family friend asked if I could make an exception, I was willing to move heaven and earth to make it work. You see, Jennifer taught me violin for quite a few years as I was growing up, and the moments of growth, challenge, friendship, and care that I got to experience with her every week have helped make me who I am today.

It was a deep honor to photograph her and Ken’s love. While we took SO many colorful posed and smiling-at-the-camera photos, I couldn’t help but adore this series of black and white snapshots behind-the-posed-scenes.

For me, this really captured the essence of their day.

It’s not often that I get to photograph brides and grooms with their grandkids. What a lovely treat!

I love when couples decide to host their ceremony in locations that are special and unique. How lovely to have it in the home of a dear friend!

I ADORE bubbles. They are delightful no matter what age you are!! Everyone should have bubbles at their weddings!

Jennifer and Ken, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your intimate day! It was an honor to witness your joy and care for one another and I wish you a lifetime of happiness. I promise you’ll get many more (and in color) photos soon! ;)

Emily and Chris - Engagement

I don’t do many weddings any more - it’s just not as feasible with two kiddos at home.

But when my long time friend asked if I would consider being there as her photographer on her special day… I couldn’t help but say yes.

Because not only do I get to be near them on the biggest day of their lives…

But they trust me to capture themselves.

In their truest way, with their favorite person in the whole world.

HELLO YOU TWO! :) Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to do my thing. I cannot wait for next year!!
