Birthdays don’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes all you need is some ice cream.

Maybe some sprinkles too.

A few big hugs from those who love you.

And a little bit of joy.

Sometimes it’s not always obvious how kids are like their parents.

It could be the smile, the shape of the nose, or just the noise we make when we clear our throats. (That’s me!)

But in my brief time with my clients, I get to catch glimpses of the genes they share.

In the color, shape and texture of the hair.

Or the way fingers mold together.

Or maybe just the curiosities that fuel our soul.
