Daddy is home

We wait patiently for his motorcycle to turn the corner on our street.

Once his familiar shape appears in the distance, smiles erupt.

Tiptoes are activated in order to catch the best view of his face.

Pixel waits less patiently, and insists on being in front.

Tails wag, giggles sneak out, and someone’s greeting can be heard in the distance.

Snuggles are insisted upon, and happily given.

Daddy is home.

Alex and Nicola

I don’t usually blog this many photos in one post.

But some stories can’t be told in just a few photos.

You see, these two are kindred spirits.

Silly and sweet.

Strong and safe.

Since they legitimately are the most adventurous people I know….

We took a risk and shot at an abandoned theater (with enough color and pizazz to brighten anyone’s day).

We explored an old field with an uprooted tree.

And they snuggled and kissed as though a random watching woman and I weren’t even there.

Slowly, they breathed in the memories of their life together.

The rich life they’ve worked hard to create.

And hand in hand, they breathed out the dreams and plans they have for the future.

The future they take on side by side.

Alex and Nic, words can’t even. Thanks for letting me into your life and loving fiercely alongside me. You both mean the world to me and I can’t wait to see where God takes you. *group hug* :)
