As a family photographer, I sometimes get requests to do photos for just adults.

Usually anniversary photos, or in this case… engagement photos!!

Casey and MaRyah are planning a lovely Colorado wedding next year and wanted to celebrate their engagement with fall photos.

I’m so used to working with little kids that I think I treated them like toddlers for the first 20 minutes on accident. :)

But I think deep down inside, everyone still has a little kid who just wants to be play and laugh and giggle a little bit.

So that’s what we did. :)

Some families plan for weeks, and some families go with the flow. 

Some families plan detailed outfits and other families grab whatever they find in their closets. 

Some families focus on being together while other families plan out the detail shots. 

Some families relax into the session and some families put all their energy into it. 

Some families prefer laying in the grass for hours on end and other families adore the busyness of the city streets and downtown alleyways. 

No matter your preference, your tendencies, or your personalities.... 

All families want to be seen. 

To be seen with a camera in such a way that the resulting photos bring back memories of joy, laughter, and perfectly imperfect reality. 

No matter what kind of family you are!
