Jeremy & Rebecca

Her room was right next to his, but he insisted on not seeing her. Jeremy was the type of guy that didn't want to see his bride until she was walking down the aisle on the arm of her father. So he didn't. Gentle, sweet, genuine, and easy going, Jeremy had his girl smitten by his smile and the way he put her at ease. While Rebecca and her bridesmaids were busy making up and practicing a choreographed dance for the reception (gotta pass the time somehow!), Jeremy and his guys were playing bingo. (Did I mention they were relaxed?) Bright, spirited, and adventurous Rebecca kept telling her bridesmaids, "Scream with me! I have to get these nerves out!" Anticipation was everywhere. Rebecca and Jeremy said "I Do" last Saturday in Buffalo, Minnesota, and I was THRILLED to photograph them. Even though the forecast was rainy, the day turned into a gorgeous sunny day, and I couldn't be happier about their beautiful wedding!

Rebecca decorated everything in black and white with pops of red - love those roses!

I heard stories about not knowing how to tie his tie... thank you, Jesus, for the internet!

"Here's my number... so call me, maybe?"

Rebecca is so much like her dad - she gets her quirky sense of humor from him!

Those sassy bridesmaids made sure to work it for the camera...

These girls were the best!

These guys were absolutely hilarious - none of them were shy in front of the camera. Not even one!

And lots of good memories.

Rebecca and Jeremy, I hope you're having a lovely time on your "stay-home" honeymoon! was so privileged to photograph your beautiful wedding day; thank you. Blessing to you both! :)

A lovely afternoon

Once upon a time, I got married. It was a month ago exactly today. Everyone and their mother came; it was a huge event. Even my family from out of town was there.

You see, I was a little stressed. It happens.... at times. So, I needed something different to do than wedding activities.

"Hey... I should do a photo shoot two days before my wedding!"

My brother and his wife flew in from California the week before the wedding. I hadn't seen them and their adorable girls in over a year - so what did I do? Shoot them! Yay! :)

Meet....

Hannah. First born. Creative. Strong. Bold. Fearless. Adventurous.

Sarah. Middle child. Giggly. Adaptable. Sweet. Observant. Adorable.

Abby. Youngest (that-a-girl!). Inquisitive. Mobile. Tender. Affectionate.

The shoot wasn't too elaborate - simple in my backyard with a blanket.

However, I know as well as anyone - a great photo lasts a lifetime, no matter where it's taken.

And so we ran around the yard...

And snuggled lots.

And I was reminded... that could be me soon.
