It’s pretty easy to find a great location for a photography session.

Kansas City is FULL of a huge variety of landscapes, forests, textures, and urban alleys.

But family photos are about way more than just the location.

You can have a lovely location and really ugly photos…

Because if the people in front of your camera don’t really love each other… the photos will fall flat.

Because the best location in the world can’t make up for love.

It’s November in Kansas… And the weather is being ridiculous.

I don’t usually complain about unusually warm weather during the fall and early winter months…

But when it causes my adorable clients to sweat under their fall-styled clothing, I feel a little bad.

Because who in the world plans for 70 degree weather only a few weeks before Thanksgiving?

It’s a good thing smiles, snuggles, and laughter work with any temperature.

Otherwise we would’ve been in big trouble with these lovely people. (*Queue cheesy laughter*)
